That was nowhere in the scope of your OP.

Do you need a live band to lead worship at your church?

My sister is a minister, and very religious. She is quite open minded about music. On family vacation in April, she jammed out to Caribou.

Play this for her

Someone could make a killer LSU hype video using "Move".

My Morning Jacket, Ben Harper and Mumford and Sons all do a great job of being more obvious in their praise while at the same time being artistic in their wordcraft. 60's rock was dominated by this as well.

Look at Van Morrison. "When God Shines His Light on Me" and "Full Force Gale", both blatantly spiritual. And "Have I Told You Lately" is half love song, half spiritual.

I'll concede to that.

When I was in HS, 2 bands made their name off of a few hits. DC Talk and Jars of Clay. DC Talk's "Jesus Freak" was an abomination of a song.

The only one I know of today, their songs don't even sound overtly Christian. I had no idea Thousand Foot Krutch was a Christian band. They've got more than handful of good tunes.

Skillet is probably the best known Christian group around nowadays.

Skillet - Monster
Skillet - Hero
Skillet - Awake and Alive

Even then these 3 songs which got a ton of mainstream radio play were released about 8 years ago.
