I was in SF a month ago. Went to several bars and restaurants all over town. Never once heard anything about Trump.

Not really. Most people who still support trump ignore objective facts. For example trump claims his inauguration crowd was bigger than Obama's, Obama had his wires tapped, millions voted illegally, etc. These are objective lies that are not in question or debatable. Or maybe you point out that the current investigations against trump are being headed by Republicans and/or Republican appointees. Also objective facts.
A typical trump supporter will argue or just refuse to accept objective facts.
They are therefore a waste of time for normal informed and reasonable people. At some point you just have to write some trump supporters off as far as their political views go. Because they are either too ignorant or dishonest to bother with anymore when they reject facts and reality

I would stop at California. We keep Oregon and Washington state. We can let the (non coastal) conservatives from CA move to those states and we can ship all the liberals from there to CA.

Most of California (geographically speaking) is conservative. Just the huge population centers are ultra-liberal.

Never bring up politics in San Francisco, they think the Democrat Party is too conservative......LA you could get away with it because the business people there are about business and if a policy is making them a buck, they like it irrespective of the individual
