re: For those that don’t think burrow will be ready in time for Miami

Just give Burrow the playbook, have him interact with our young QBs, and throw reps and build chemistry with our WRs over the Summer.
That’s a good start even without direct coaching

I'm pretty sure he still has to take some classes.

Not having the coaches teach him before August is a feature, not a bug.

I’m one of the biggest O critics out there and even I am pumped about this season now.
There will never be a better situation for O to succeed. Never
This.
If Burrow isn’t ready for Miami, it’s a coaching failure. Or a giant recruiting failure if the reason is that he can’t beat out what we currently have.
He wasn’t recruited with this much hype to come in and sit the bench.

don’t know what to tell you if you honestly believe he wasn’t recruited to come in to start.
They can tell the media all they want, but most adults here know the truth.
Don’t be dense.
Did you misread my post??
I am in complete agreement with you

He's graduated. He can learn a playbook in no time at all.

I would call myself a CheeriO today but I know how sensitive those guys are about that

He can certainly be coached enough to be ready for one game. Miami.

Obviously, does not have to worry about the 20/40/60/80 rules (progress towards degree stipulation) anymore.
Only other requirement is that he be academically eligible at previous school upon transfer. Also obviously, not an issue; just wanted to mention it as one of the rules for grad student-athletes.

The offense will be limited some because he doesn’t have the luxury of a lot of time. But I think that would have been the case regardless of who our QB was. It’s a new offense. Everyone has to learn it. The QB has more to learn than anyone else, but hopefully he’s smart enough to not be the weak link.

No worries. I think he’ll be ready. I trust Ensminger. Just as long as O stays out of it this dude will be fine.

Joey knows football. It’s not like his tiger playbook will be written in another language.
One of the reasons he is coming to lsu because we are going to run an offense that he already knows.

He will not only be prepared he will probably be over prepared as far as playbook......
Hes got to spent quality time with his receivers though this summer off the practice field to get feel of each's speed and abilities

I agree. Coach's kid. Graduated in three years. The playbook is the least of his concerns. Welcome aboard, JB.
Now let's win this baseball game today.

Joe Burrow is smart, athletic and accurate. He has an unbelievable football IQ. He is the worst nightmare for posters like Darius David and Chinoyang

I hope calling him Joey doesn’t stick.

The backups job is to play like the starter.
They aren't the backups...you just cant wrap your head around that can you?
Do you really think all these guys can throw open routes in practice? They all can, and very weel.
This kid cant and wont be judged until live, full team practices. So he does t have the opportunity to earn the top spot until that happens.
Get ready, this will be a division of the locker room at some point.
I just cant wrap my head around the thought process that's making you guys feel Burrow is some great messiah! It's really wierd. All the we do know about him is that he was as good as brennan in high school and once on campus in live practices, could not beat out anyone for the start.
If this staff would just pick a starter, and stick with him, we had all the talent we needed in our team already to have a great qb.
This love was uneeded.

Why? That’s his actual name he has on his twitter profile.
It’s better than Jeaux Burreaux.
