Withdraws his name from the NBA combine. Weird situation, but then again it's on par with his actions so far to date. I just thought it might be a good read.

I'd have to imagine the answer is yes...did he ever hire an agent?

That whole situation was incredibly mishandled. Dude must be getting awful advice from multiple directions

Not that uncommon to skip the combine, though probably less advisable for a kid who has been in the garage for a year.

He'll have private workouts with teams and probably try to engineer where he ends up a bit.

He spent 2 or 3 years of high school there, but I think he's from Florida originally.

But yeah, as someone else said, he's been getting shitty advice for a long time now. It's sad to see so many hangers-on just screwing this kid left and right because all they see is a meal ticket for themselves.

Ben Simmons skipped the combine and still went #1 overall. So it's not as if skipping the combine means you are going to plummet to the 2nd round or out of the draft all together. Guys with Robinson's natural ability aren't common. He'll get picked. Where, is anyone's guess.

The guy was projected a low first round pick only because he has not played a competitive game in over a year. Skipping the combine isn’t helping anything. Will he still get drafted? Yea, it won’t be in the first round unless he has some really impressive personal workouts tho

A lot of times these guys skip the combine when they get a promise of being drafted. Always risky that he won't get drafted by that team. But it happens. He did private workouts, so if those were good enough, skipping the combine won't matter.

Oh he'll go first round. Probably not lottery, but he'll go round 1.

Simmons was the projected #1 pick and actually played college basketball. Highly projected guys skip all the time. Guys who aren't and also have done nothing after HS do not skip.

He has done/will do private workouts for teams. Yes, there are big question marks because he didn't play college basketball. But 7 footers with his natural athleticism don't grow on trees. Maybe not in the lottery, but someone later in the 1st round will take him to see if they can develop those raw traits into a good basketball player. You can teach him to play the game. You can't teach him to be 7 foot with the ability to run the floor with ease

He'll get drafted but he's no lock first rounder. Deandre Jordan and Whiteside fit that profile and Robinson's probably viewed close to Whiteside was/is with the way he has handled everything since HS.

The combine in the NBA isn’t like the combine for the NFL. Lots of top draft picks have been skipping it recently, including ROY and #1 pick Ben Simmons.
