The combine in the NBA isn’t like the combine for the NFL. Lots of top draft picks have been skipping it recently, including ROY and #1 pick Ben Simmons.

This guy hasn't played a minute of college ball though, and hasn't played ANY competitive ball the past year, pretty huge difference

I agree, stop comparing Robinson to Simmons. Simmons was the known #1 pick, Robinson, who knows where he may end up, nothing alike!

It's definitely a ballsy move on his part, highly doubt he got a "promise" from anyone to draft him in lottery, maybe late 1st...even then, heck of a way to roll the dice.

Hate to say it, but the kid has megabust written all over him

Yeah, I just read that he went to Chalmette HS.
That explains all I need to know...

That smart of him not to do the combine, he can't mess up his value If he don't play. He will go somewhere in the 1st round and that's his goal, less is best.

At that size and skill set someone will give him a chance.
I'm guessing his career won't pan out based on everything that's happened so far.
Would have one year at Western Ky been that bad?
I guess he doesn't want the NBA to have any footage of him playing basketball before he signs his contract.
Risky way to enter league and if he drops to 2nd nothing is guaranteed.

Ben Simmons skipped the combine and still went #1 overall. So it's not as if skipping the combine means you are going to plummet to the 2nd round or out of the draft all together. Guys with Robinson's natural ability aren't common. He'll get picked. Where, is anyone's guess.

Ben dominated in college and on the highest stages of HS basketball.

This guy hasn't played in a long time and is far less proven against top talent.

BG is a shithole... First time Mitch spent more than a day there, he was like NOPE

he's played in EYBL, Peach Jam, McDonald's game, and Jordan game, as well as practices and scrimmages. If you want to dig, you can find games Chalmette played with Mitch as well.

Then he shouldn't have signed to play there without doing any research. Makes him sound like an idiot who won't adjust well to the professional life.

He only spent one year at Chalmette. He’s a Florida kid that has made bad decision after bad decision.

Scared to show what he can do against guys who are similar skill and athleticism.

He's hoping to stay mysterious.

I pass.
