Excellent point, the answer is simple.
He doesn’t hate the investigation. Hes more than happy to let all of Obama et al’s crimes come to light. The floodgates are about to open, there wont be anywhere to hide

If he would have ended it six months ago would we know now what we've learned during those six months concerning the games the FBI, CIA and the DOJ have loosely been playing with? Those three agencies would probably be tickled pink right about now if he were to end it. Trump would be doing them a favor.

We should start a petition for a new constitutional amendment that automatically extends a president's term of office, day for day, to match a special counsel investigation attached to the president or his campaign, which leads to no removal from office.
