Best Gift You’ve Ever Recieved?

This is the OT. Everyone here gets a new Tag every six months and their Bugatti never reaches 40,000 miles until you turn it in for a new one. So what’s the best gift you’ve ever received as the man (or LLOTOT) who already has everything?
And sex isn’t a gift. Nor is PIIHB. At least acorrding to the OT.

Life insurance, which I in turn left to my offspring.

Walking out onto my front porch a couple of years ago on veterans day and finding a pile of handmade cards the neighborhood kids made for me thanking me for my service. Will never forget how that made me feel.

Will never forget the b3st gift i ever got. It was Christmas 1993, remember it like it was yesterday. All i wanted was a sega genesis. And santa brought it. Its funny how some Christmas just stick out in memory. That one always does, i was so happy. Can remember every detail about that day.

No. I just invested a big sum into their policy.
Fortunately, I didn’t need it. So I invested a bit of it for them.

My great grandmother was a handicapped seamstress in New Orleans during the depression. She specialized in making those incredibly long ornate drapes that hang in rich people houses. Because of this specialty she sewed while standing at a long table all day.
When he day was done she retired to her chair with tea and the Bible. The chair eventually wore out, springs broke and it looked like something one would throw away. But it survived in my family simply because it was “granny’s chair”.
After my grandparents passed away somehow I ended up with it. I put it in my attic with plans to “one day” have it restored.
Fast forward many years, many moves, college, etc.... and eventually getting married. Told my wife the story of the chair.
One day I come home on my birthday and see the chair in our living room.... beautifully and professionally restored. Wow. My best gift? That woman.

I was in 7th grade and my dad picked me up from school (in NY). He said he was taking me to get a bowling ball for my birthday. In actuality he was taking me to the airport. He had packed a bag for me and we went to Baton Rouge for Mardi Gras since my uncle was riding in Orion.
