Taking my 7yo daughter to our first game in tiger stadium this year. Coming down from bham for the home opener. Any advice on what the game day atmosphere is like? I will have my 7yo with me so not drinking. Just wanting to introduce her to LSU football early and hope to intill a love for it in her.

Nothing like it was as recently as 2010. F. King Alexander’s parking a fraturnity policies have annihilated tailgating.

Now that LSU has absolutely destroyed fraternity tailgating, there's nothing too wild to worry about. Parade Grounds are now barren on gameday.

Depends what happens with Miami.

Lose and can expect a very mediocre atmosphere, Win and the place will be lit

Great time to start. Take it all in. At that age, impressions can be lasting - he big tailgaters rigs, second line the team, the campus earlier & any 7 year old gonna like Mike.
Enjoy - brings back memories ??

I just went to the Vulcan in Bham last Saturday. Was up there for my daughter's graduation from Samford.

Being the home opener against SELa the crowd might be a little under the peak season but hopefully we get a win in Dallas against The U. That will help the gameday atmosphere a lot.

There will be some activities in front of the PMAC and Mike VII will be in his home. You can see the team and TGBFTL parade down Victory Hill. Biggest thing is a 7 yr old will tire easily if you push it to much.

Non conference games have been barren on campus lately.

Even my family that has had their spot out there before I was born don't show up to those anymore. Sad.

A loss against the U might have even less people come out.

So with that, just go hang out around the stadium. Check out Mike.

Not sure there is much else to do unless you just want to walk around campus. Or you can do the stadium tour. But a 7 year old would prob get bored with that.

Seems to me, the kids have fun going to the tailgate when other kids are there to play with, while the rents cook and drink.
