Yeah, I didn't realize John Brodie started for the 49ers that long. Thought he won the job around 1966 or so.
Neither did I realize Don Meredith started for Dallas since the second year of the franchise. Took over for Eddie LeBaron.

Let him play today with rules where wide receivers can't be touched and a flag drops if the quarterback is touched--instead of 60s rules where a defender could beat the shite out of a WR until the ball was in the air and quarterbacks were fair game to be hit-no "sliding"--
