Renewals across the board — including Tiger Athletic Foundation-controlled premium seating and the school-regulated Tradition Fund seats — are at about 95 percent, or roughly 1 percent down from last season’s renewal rate, officials told The Advocate.

And, Tiger Stadium also has exactly 102, 321 every SEC home game. And when New Mexico State rolls in apparently only a few hundred people fit in the entire upper decks bc attendance only drops to 101,000 with 2/3 empty upper decks.

LSU fudges the numbers for perception all the time people. If you believe 95 percent of season ticket holders are renewing I have some beach front property in Arkansas I’d like to sell you.

Why do you think the TAF would lie about season ticket renewals?

Wouldn't the truth have to come out when future development projects are being discussed/planned?

Do they love Alleva so much they don't want to hurt his status with the university and state of Louisiana?

They owe millions of dollars and need to stop bleeding ( decreased donations)

They need additional millions of dollars to buyout an incompetent AD & HC so they need to stop bleeding ( decreased donations)

that just does not make any sense what-so-ever.

typing it three times does not lessen the level of idiocy contained in the comment.

Haven't been on TD for a few days so excuse me if this has been addressed, but

The renewal rate is expected to increase as officials open new purchases to a waiting list of fans
How do new purchases figure into the renewal rate exactly? talk about trying to spin things. this statement alone ought to alert people that this is a PR spin job..

Audited Financials are on TAF's website. Thru 2017 there really aren't any YoY issues. Debt will be a problem if cash flows aren't there but from a revenue side or donation perspective there is nothing material from '16 to '17 to really worry about.

Also, check out the TAF Board of Directors? Does anyone really believe these people individually care more about Alleva / Coach O's agenda than LSU and/or their fiduciary duty to the TAF?

Alleva is a dumbass, O should have never been hired but he has. But, if it gets rough on the revenue generation side then heads will roll. They have to in 2018. This isn't the LSU football job of the 70's or 80's -- If Governor liked you then you were pretty much the coach.

LSU only receives 25% of its current support from the State -- so legislature and Gov have much less direct control today than 25 years ago when a vast majority of LSU's budget was tied to State

I'm sure most of you can understand that getting and keeping good seats is about playing the long game, not reacting to transient situations that come and go. O will not be coach for 10 years, unless the team starts winning. There are ups and downs. If you want good seats, get them and keep them. If you want them to fire O after 3 bad years, and then want your seats back if and when a new AD makes a good hire, good luck.
