Cobra Kai discussion thread (SPOILERS)

Okay, I'm at Episode 7 and Daniel has just wax-on wax-offed Johnny's son, who is jealous of Johnny's star student and surrogate son Miguel, who is dating Daniel's son.
This awesome thing must continue for another season. I'm going to finish watching the rest before I check back in, but hopefully there is already lots to discuss.

I watched episode 1 last night in bed on my iPad and told my wife I NEEDED to watch it all but she made me go to sleep.

Yeah...the show is absolute binge-worthy.
There's really no lag and since you kinda know where it's going you just want to get there.
This could've really been a movie if they changed some stuff and pared it down.
But it's better as a TV series...they are really just tapping into all the 80's cliches and showing this total disconnect with the modern generation.

Had high hopes going in and still honestly shocked how good it was. Loved how both johnny and daniel-san were both given their chance to shine and screw up.

It's been great and I surely hope season 2 comes soon. The reviews have been very positive and the comments on YouTube back it up. I didn't really care for the love triangle towards the end but it's still great series. Love the 80s touches throughout.

So, Cobra Kai was banned from the all valley sports league for 35 years, but still had a framed picture of John Kreese on the wall of the arena? He looks pretty good for as old and out of acting as he has to be.
So many ridiculous, competing character conflicts. Love triangles, family conflicts, friend loyalties, dorks hitting on popular girls, dorks becoming freaks. It's like they just sat around trying to cram as much stupid shite into it as possible, and it just works beautifully.

frick. I was up until 2 am this morning binging it and then woke up at 6:30 to watch another. I have a couple more left to go and can't wait to see them.
so far it has been fantastic and much better than I ever thought it would be.
