A&M, Florida, and Miss St should not be ranked.

Mississippi State at # 11? I must have missed something.

MSU definitely should be ranked somewhere. They return a lot of people and assembled a pretty good staff
Florida and A&Ms ranking are due to benefit of the doubt due to who is the head coach. Jimbo and Mullen have been very successful as head coaches. I'm not saying I agree with the rankings but I can understand the justification based off whoever is running the program.
Preseason rankings have a lot to do with the respect and track records of head coaches leading a program.
Either way preseason polls mean crap. Win and take care of business, the rest will fall into place

LULZ, his one upside is "rebounding" (losing two more games is rebounding?) after an embarrassing loss he caused.

Going out on a limb ranking the Tigers? Until Myles Brennan, Justin McMillan or Lowell Narcisse distinguish themselves, the Tigers still don't have a quarterback who makes a difference. They lost their best running back (Derrius Guice). Coach O was impressive in rebounding from the Troy loss to win nine."

What did this clown look at??? Maybe one of the best Defenses in the Nation. Out performed Alabama, Auburn, and Texas in the Spring Games. LSU had like 773 yards Offense and 533 Passing in the Spring Game. Auburn had 90 yards Passing. Texas used 4 QB's and all sucked. These guys write the same crap as they have no Journalism skills!!
Nope. He's right.

The only thing holding this program together at the moment is that Aranda is on staff as LSU's DC
If it were almost anyone else at DC, LSU would not even be considered a top 25 team for next year
This is ultimately the reality of the situation.
We won't win the West, but O can roll along winning 7,8,9, maybe even 10 wins because Miles reeled in the brightest young defensive mind in the entire country as his parting gift to the guy that stabbed him in the back to get his job.
Once he leaves, the bottom will absolutely fall the frick out and it will not be pretty.

Auburn was a good team but they were frickn trash outside of Jordan hare stadium.
Watch them compete at home vs on the road or somewhere neutral, not even close.
I am not discrediting the win because they were a good win, but they definitely are not a top 5 team or top 10. Top 10 seems too nice considering how they can't perform on the road or somewhere neutral

I hate to be the one that has to tell you this, but you just described LSU with different names.

Didn’t we beat miss st the year following the beat down by state in tiger stadium?
Posted on 5/1/18 at 8:01 pm to TigerLunatik
Yes and looked where they are ranked.
Posted on 5/1/18 at 8:01 pm to Abe1961
Did i say anything about Miss St?

And replaced by someone competent and a top respected DC, they return Fitzgerald

Its a preseason poll, who frickn cares. If they can find a way to be decent defensively it will be a very solid team. Same can be said about LSU

Florida very well could be rolling out with Emory Jones, a highly rated QB, enrolled early. Mullen has worked with a lot less and made the most out of it. Not sure the disrespect here.
