Where should the MCU go after Infinity Wars and Thanos? (Spoilers)

FWIW, my preference is not for them to permanently kill off any heroes. And don't give me that "it has no real stakes then" thing either. Don't we all know that going in...really? Mostly, because of age and time invested, you'll be talking about killing off the most popular characters you've got right now save for Black Panther.
But...RDJ is going to be too old soon and many of the others may tire of playing the roles.
Personally, I'd love for them to go the James Bond route with all of them. I really think Marvel has cracked the code on this entire enterprise. they've gotten that people are not turned off by long form stories and there's no reason to restrict these heroes to trilogies and then reboot/recast. You CAN simply keep the story going, just as you do with new writers for the comics and new artists to draw them. Hell...they've ALREADY done it between IM and IM2 with Rhodie. I minor move at that point, but still...they just moved on and we all said, "Oh...cool."
Maybe it ought to be done slowly...have a member "comic book die" only to be recast in a future film and bring them in that way.
But we've all seen this build for a decade now and as interested as I am in seeing what's next, I'm not interested in really losing Iron Man, Cap, Thor etc as the years move on. And I'm not interested in seeing the WHOLE THING reset 10 years from now as some lazy reboot.
So...what do you THINK they'll do with the first wave of main heroes and what do wish they WOULD do?

Somehow reboot X-men.
It's the last gem in the bag.

I think Tony is more likely to retire than die just so that there's always a possibility he could come back. Cap will go into hiding or something like that. Loki and Gamora can stay dead. They can replace Gamora with Nebula for GOTG3.

Wouldn't be opposed to that, though I've loved Fassbender and McAvoy as Magneto and Xavier. And although I realize they're all together in the comics, I kind of like them being separate in the movies...but that's coming from someone that was never a big X-Men reader so I have no dog in that fight.
As for rebooting Fox titles...Fantastic 4 done right? That brings in Doom, Surfer, Galactus and even more space stuff.

Negative Zone, Annihilus, High Evolutionary, Galatcus...
...and Salem Seven

Cap I think it's near 100% he dies in IW Part 2. Bucky Barnes will then take up the mantle.

Oh yeah...I'd love for Marvel to do FF4 right! There are tons of things that can keep bringing in...
I just don't want to permanently lose who we have now. I'm in favor of a continuing story continuing to use our heroes. Sure...some can come and go for a while, but I'd rather not pretend that Tony stark is dead in this universe forever...just not a round at the moment. Same with Cap, etc.

Marvel has already said there will be another Avenger in Spiderman 2 and it won't be Tony. Cap seems like the most obvious choice but I guess Hulk and Strange are possible.

i haven't watched the inhumans tv show but they could play a part in IW2 perhaps? i dont know how the timelines work out but i would like to see them if their characters havent been ruined on tv already.

Cap I don't think bounces off with Spider-Man.

Eventually you gotta get them all under the same umbrella, that means Fox has to sell the rights to Disney. So far, Disney hasn't screwed this franchise up like Star Wars so I'm confident the people at the helm, as long as Stan Lee is alive, won't let that happen. At some point, we need the Surfer to make an appearance and I've love to see the crossovers between Spidey and the X-Force.
As for this series, eventually these guys are going to be too old for their roles or ready to move on to other projects such as the rumor has been for Chris Evans playing Cap. With so many characters intertwined now, I don't see how reboots can take place until this storyline is completed. Even then, you're not going to replaced every character at the same time, so there's going to be some awkwardness seeing Starlord interact with a different person playing Tony Stark. Its a conundrum here. Maybe a complete separation from the comics in that the older heroes retire and bring on new fresh faces to play the roles, such as Miles Morales taking on the Spider-Man role for example.

i'm starting to think this will never happen
v1: korman ruined it with his movie
v2: the half-arse effort was destroyed by incredibles
v3: something something silver surfer and giant sand cloud
i guess the only thing left is to make a movie with herbie the robot! that ought to effectively seal the FF fate.

After their banter in the ship headed to Titan, I'd kind of like to see that.

No, I totally misread that and deleted my response
Thought it said "Disney hasn't screwed up a franchise like Star Wars"

He's probably unaware that Disney owns both.
