If these talks lead to some sort of actual peace with North Korea for South Korea and the United States, I completely agree Trump deserves the Nobel Peace Prize. Certainly more than Obama did for just getting elected as a black man in the US.

It will probably be better for us if Trump doesn’t win it. Would be an effective talking point for 2020.

We have no idea what POTUS did behind the scenes. Maybe he brought this matter to a head, all-but-singlehandedly. And maybe he did nothing beyond blustertweets. We just do not know.
But we DO know that every world leader understands the Trump love of flattery. Moon would be saying this about POTUS, no matter what actual role he played.
BTW, the Nobel Committee needs to stay the Hell out if this until (if) an actual deal is inked. If that happens, it is foolish to think it would go to Trump alone. More likely is a four-way of Trump, Xi, Moon & Kim.
