I have heard they won't discount those Tahoes and Suburbans hardly at all. Is that seriously the best price they have given you?

Contacting dealerships withing a 50-75 mile radius of BR using Cars.com
They are not budging on the Tahoe

Check against multiple sites.
KBB, Edmunds, TrueCar, etc. You should get a general idea.

With the quality of used cars now I don't really understand why someone wants to pay the extra money for brand new. I bought a silverado back in 2013 that was 9 months old and had 13,000 miles on it fully loaded, Texas edition. With tax, title, and license I paid $10,000 less than what the truck was priced brand new without tax.

Contacted
After TTL, fees, and extended warranty, it came to over $48K
I asked to see the fees breakdown... negative. They told me to come in
I did a little negotiating, they wouldn't drop below $48

Try Cecil Graves in St. Francisville.

I tried that yesterday with a used 2017 Traverse
Had just over 19K miles
Wasn't certified due to dents in bumper
The lowest they went was $29,500
Then they wanted to charge me extra to fix dents when it is still under warranty
Told them I wasn't paying $30K for a used vehicle when the new one is $3K more

when you can put 100k miles on a Tahoe and still sell it or trade it in 5-7 years for 25+ they will not budge on those big Chevys.
They don't drastically change the body styles which makes them valuable for a long long time

Well Tax is 10% so thats $47.3K if sales price is $43K.

With most of the state having at least 10% sales tax, will be hard to do much better. KBB doesn't take tax into account.

Is 2017 still the old Traverse? If so, you don't want that in your life.

IMO, I don't think a base model Tahoe is worth that much.

I'd walk away from every one of those deals you're working on so far and don't respond to another email after telling them "Thank you, but I'm moving forward with another option."
Watch how quickly they start trying to work with you.
