So the recruiting coordinator isn’t responsible for recruiting?
Certain things yes. Organizing visits, checking up on recruits academics, acquiring film, organizing visits, compliance, etc.
Selecting how much of each position and which players the team ultimately signs, NO.
It also helps when someone is the recruiting coordinator for more than eight months. While starting the position 2 1/2 weeks before the only class signed while they were the RC.

I'm pretty sure that if someone dug through your posts they'd find that you've declared Orgeron blameless in every single aspect of running a program.

Mass exodus? Are you talking about the reserve O-linemen that left?

You're trying to make it sound like O doesn't recruit. He does. He actually prides himself on it. So when an "ace" recruiter gets a recruiting class that is the weakest it's been in 15 years, yeah, he's going to get the finger pointed at him.
You never blame him for anything. It's always someone else's fault. 10 years from now, you'll still be blaming Miles for O's screw ups.

It's laid out right in front of you. Hell you even quoted what I said in your post. What did I say that was wrong? Nothing? Is that why you are getting off subject?
You: "Hmmm, everything this guy said is right and everything I said is wrong. Maybe if I bring up someone digging through his posts and what the made up person declared about them. Yeah, that should work."

Oh, so that’s how you want to play this dumb shite? Complain that freshmen had to play, and then call guys who could have been ahead of them on the depth chart, “reserve linemen” because the year prior they were behind older guys?
quote:5 of 10 were O linemen. There were DL, a cornerback, WR...you know...guys other than O linemen where freshmen ended up playing. Not to mention...are you that fricking stupid to realize a freshman had to start in his place to start the year. A freshman who you are complaining about having to play?
Reserve O-linemen left because of a D-lineman taking time away from the team. You aren't reaching for straws are you?
quote:
Didn't say that. You like to make up shite as you go along don't you. I hope LSU doesn't have to play over 30 freshmen every year.
Once again you dumb shite. LSU didn’t play 30 freshmen. Unless you’re trying to purposely mislead folks by calling redshirt freshmen, you know...2 year guys, “freshman” to prop up that fricking joke of a coach O.
quote:
At least I'm not an idiot that makes shite up and tries to pass it off as fact and having a bearing on what I'm trying to say.
Prove what I have said is wrong, you dipshit.

So a couple guards that were recruited to play tackle and had never played is a mass exodus?
I take that back, Dodd had been in on six plays during his career.

"Orgeron running off these players isn't a big deal. They were just depth"
"Can you believe all of the freshman that Orgeron HAD to play. Miles left him no depth!!!"
This is the guy constantly beating his chest about "winning" arguments.

Maybe we would have had to play 30 freshmen if they hadn’t left.
But then you wouldn’t have a nifty excuse for O losing to Troy and MSU
JK you’d always find an excuse

This is not the weakest class in fifteen years. The ranking is not as high as past classes but you will have to wait a few years to determine the quality of this recruiting class.

Funny this thread is about your ilk blaming the current HC for the 1st round of the NFL draft when he has been in charge for one season.
He had been the D-line coach for the 2015 for 3 weeks before the 2015 class was signed.
He became recruiting coordinator in January 2016 when Frank Wilson left for UTSA. That was 2 1/2 weeks before signing day.
So even if you now want to give him credit for anything before he became HC, he would be responsible for two classes. Those two classes are not eligible to be drafted.
If you want to blame him go for it, because you are going to anyway.

Cmon man. Players leave at every school when a new coach is hired. That's the nature of the beast

Someone needs to wait to claim this is the weakest class in 15 years, but you don't have to wait to claim that it's not.
Solid.

quote:well the experts disagree. We have no corner back depth. Traore looked terrible he has a long long way to go. Also LSU better hope a qb doesn’t transfer or get injured due to O not getting a quarterback. Texas finished number three and beefed up their lines. Herman’s making your boy look bad
This is not the weakest class in fifteen year

Not when an interim is promoted. The whole point of that is for continuity so you won't have massive turnover.

what happened to player development since he took over?
Everyone got worse except for Chark.

Apparently, player development isn't a factor in the NFL draft.
Who knew?

Guice got worse? He made Arden make bad decisions? 2 recent drafts without a first rounder under Miles if I remember correctly.
