Or Strange could have used the Time Stone to continueously go back in time to warn others and formulate a plan to defeat Thanos before he gets the Infinity Stones???

Or as others have said, put Thanos in a Time loop.

Read a theory that the death of people like Ergo, the chick from doctor strange, and some other elders enabled Thanos to really pursue the stones

Was also impressed with the range of emotions they were able to show with Thanos. Most cgi villains look so cartoonish or stiff like Steppenwolf in JL. You could see Brolin in Thanos even with simple looks to the side.

could ultimately be undone. It’s a safe bet that when Strange was consulting the millions of possibly outcomes of the fight against Thanos, he realized that Thanos would never lower his guard enough to let the Avengers defeat him – unless, of course, he believed that he had already won.

Is it bad to kinda agree with Thanos about there being too many people on Earth? Lol

And how come Thanos and his children didn't have the electronic discs that pretty much comatosed Thor and Loki??
He didn't need them, he killed Loki outright. Was ready to kill Thor with the Power Stone. That was what broke Loki down.

Don't think there's a plan available to do that. Remember, Strange looked at the outcomes, over 14 million times. You have to assume that covered ALL bases, including risking the timeline to go back.
Thanos was always coming.

Did that to Dormammu, but remember that little bit of info- time doesn't exist in the Dark Dimension. So the concept of what Strange did to him was totally foreign.

Dwight Schrute said 10 years ago there are too many people on earth and we needed a new plague.

That's interesting. Can you provide the link? Closest I have is what occurr in the comics. Which is Thanos basically trick/manipulated the entities welding the stones into letting them go. These were The In-Betweener (I think), The Champion, The Racer, The Gardener, Gamemaster, aaaand I can't remember the last.

It’s pretty obvious that everything that happened was the 1 and 14 million thing that needed to happen as Strange said would be the only way they would win.

His line right before death to Stark about this is the way it has to be; I believe proves that.

There are people dead that could have stopped him.

Ego, Odin, the ancient one.

Well that’s my take at least.

Appreciate the response, but

"He didn't need them, he killed Loki outright....". But not Thor. So write it up as poor planning on Thanos' part.

"You have to assume that covered all bases, including the timeline to go back". I disagree. Doc Strange specifically said he looked at 14 + million FUTURE timelines. Nothing was said about the past. As you say, you have to assume. Or not assume.....

"...the concept of what Strange did to him was totally foreign." To Thanos yes. But not Doc Strange. Which makes even more sense as to why the Doctor would use this method.

Came home from work today and our son dropped by and surprised us all with tickets to the 7pm XD showing. We all loved it. I had been underwhelmed by trailers but was NOT underwhelmed by the movie. Afterwards, as we discussed the movie, my son said something that should have been obvious, but I still hadn't thought of it yet...
t
Korg is dead. That saddens me greatly.

Thoroughly underwhelming. Pacing was clunky. More jokes didn't land in this one than just about any other movie. They've slowly ruined the Guardians characters. Cringed a lot at them this movie.

C or C- IMO
