If he were the head coach and not Coach Oeaux. How would qb play be at this point, recruiting etc.

well, #1, you would have a clear X&O's guy at head coach instead of a glorified cheerleader.

Absolutely.

Lane was more qualified than O from the start and has always been regarded as a great QB coach. He just wasn't prepared for his first stints as a HC.

Now, he's about to be highly sought after once he leads FAU to another 10 win season. I honestly believe working under Saban saved the man's career.

Yes.

It's like asking which is a more supportive learning environment, BRCC or Stanford.

Yes. When you have an offensive coordinator that hasn’t put his own offense on the field in 20 years vs kiffin who is a phenomenal X and O guy and play caller I’m sure you would see a difference

And the only coach to take a team from pre-season #1 to unranked by the end of the season since the 1960's.

And possibly the only coach ever fired at an airport while returning with their team from a road game.

I think Lane Kiffin would have been a great hire. The dude can run an offense. He can make adjustments. He will take a top job next year and it might just be LSU if O goes 6-6 or worse. Why did they give O a five year contract?? WHY WHY? wait its alleva nevermind.

I cant stand LK because he is a douche. That said he would definitely be a huge upgrade over Orgeron.

I'm not surprised.

A little RECENT history: Kiffin goes 4-7 in his last 11 games at USC. Eaux take over the same team, staff, etc and goes 5-2, national ranking and bowl game.

So his past failures matter and should disqualify him from being the coach at LSU? But Orgeron’s past failures are irrelevant? Makes sense.

So Orgeron is a better interim coach... he can rally a team that is pissed off.. but he fricking sucks as a head coach.

They were dealing with sanctions. Did you forget that?

Ree is the only guy that can actually make me defend Lane Kiffin.

You just don't get how an interim injects life into a team do you ? Hal Hunter took an unranked LSU team to Arkansas and beat the shite out them.

This cracks me up. We make fun of our coach because he sucked at ole miss. Kiffen coaches at a punching bag school.

The guy has been a failure at the HC level, and was shown the door ahead of a national championship game by the proven best HC.

Why anyone would want him leading the program is baffling.
