I won't say that this team will turn into the 1991 team but it kinda close. Again they have no reliable closer

No, he’s busy in Auburn. Sean Newcomb, Mike Foltynewicz, and hopefully good Julio are though.

Should have been already. Braves are mismanaging it thus far.

I knew the whole bullshite regarding team control would make him “available” last Sat, and they pushed back due to playing in cold Chicago. But damn, were they scared to let him face Synd and deGrom this weekend? Ridiculous. Can’t baby his arse forever when you have no power from the outfield positions already.

I read the other day that with all the bad april weather, a lot of Acuna’s games have been getting cancelled and he hasnt been able to get any consistency at the plate. Also, he hasnt been swinging the bat too good so far. His call up is probably just being delayed a couple of weeks if I had to guess.

Mike Foltynewicz
how’s he been for y’all? I was intrigued by his potential with the Astros. Glad he’s doing good.

Teheran has been on fire, Folty is solid as well. Our offense has been great so far.

The season looks bright but it is early.

I got all excited when I saw this thread title so I quick-as -a-flash checked the Standings to find that the New York Mets are in 1st place. The Fightin' Phils are in 2nd place.

PS I am no fan of any Atlanta sports team.

Braves just took 2/3 from both NYM and Philadelphia

Braves are first in the NL in run differential. The Mets are 6th.

Teams that the Braves have played this year:

4-2 vs Philadelphia(14-7)
3-3 vs Washington(10-12)
2-1 vs Colorado(12-11)
1-1 vs Chicago(10-9)
2-1 vs New York Mets(14-6)

Combined Record:60-45

Mets this year:

2-1 vs St Louis(13-8)
2-0 vs Philadelphia(14-7)
4-2 vs Washington(10-12)
3-0 vs Miami(5-16)
2-1 vs Milwaukee(14-9)
1-2 vs Atlanta(12-8)

Combined Record:68-60

The Miami series is the only difference between the Mets and the Braves so far this season.
