It's funny how TRant works, if you would have made this post about football, you would have more upvotes and cheers. Baseball they care about the team, football they care about the coach.

Because our baseball coach has proven time and time again he's one of the best in the country.

I don't feel like this warrants its own thread but the good news is Arkansas lost Friday, too.....to Miss St no less!

Ole Miss also lost.

And Tennessee, the team we swept last weekend, beat Texas A&M yesterday.

Baseball is a funny game.

So, we're still in second place in the West only one game behind Arkansas.

There has been so much gnashing of teeth over LSU's away record, I just noticed that Ole Miss is the only team in the West division with a winning road record.

And only 3 teams in the East division have a winning road record.

Why are you shocked? Have you even talked to Dunn about being the pitching coach for LSU?

It's a figure of speech. I was pointing out it would be a vintage CPM move to let Dunn go and hire a former player. Congrats on missing the point.

Ochinko this season. Micah Gibbs last season. Canizarro before him. Javi before him. You want me to keep going? I'll go back as far as 1993. Just let me know, chief.

If you would make your point clearer I would not have missed it.

You actually think Mainieri is thinking about firing Dunn? Even after almost every time he mentions Dunn he prefaces his remarks by calling AD the best pitching coach in college baseball?

You're clueless. All you want to do is bitch.

Stop. You still missed the point. You really are dumb.

And it's not bitching when you're pointing out legit issues. You refuse to see problems. People like you are fricking awful to debate sports with.

I got the hyperbole to prove your point about CPM. IMO, his only mistake is the hitting coach situation. At the beginning of the year, I thought he would be able to handle it and that the talent would carry us through the season. At this point, it certainly looks like I was wrong on that one.

Thank you. I'm not saying he will or needs to fire Dunn at all. Dunn is the one strong point on the staff. Paul needs to go out this offseason and hire a hitting coach that he will pay. Enough of the former player crap. This is LSU. Go form a staff. These former players can get experience at smaller in state schools.

How are you even able to feed yourself without hurting yourself? Do they put a cork on your fork like in “Dirty rotten Scoundrels?”

I've come to your side on the former players as hitting coaches because it seems like it would be better to have a fresh look on hitting versus having a coach that the head coach taught. I realize these guys go off and learn from others as well, but how much are they willing to challenge their college coach on final decisions and philosophies? That I don't know.

Are you drunk? Or are you reaching for something to make your point?

What in the world has given you a notion that Mainieri would let Dunn go.

Solid point. Maybe Paul likes hiring these guys so he can surround himself with "yes men"? I have no idea. What I do know is what he's been doing isnt working.

He's clueless, Adam. A quick look at his posting history proves that.

No, I've only used that on you because you keep missing the point. Maybe if you try really hard to accept that this team has big issues you'd start seeing the point I've tried to make. Take the purple and gold glasses off for maybe a day.

well, looks like I'm now in your head. You've stooped to the depressing level of looking up the posting history of a user on a message board. Congrats!
