Portland fans should get AirBNBs in the Bywater so they feel at home

Love this quote from Shea Serrano's Ringer article today:
quote:
And the fifth bad thing [for Portland] is Anthony Davis won a playoff game, and Anthony Davis winning a playoff game is like that part in The Edge when Anthony Hopkins realized that the bear had a taste for human blood and was going to attack Hopkins and his friends until they were dead or he was dead.

I’m flocked up sonsssssss!
On a side note, Tonight we will get Portland’s best shot. If we can hold them off and get the W, we will have made them quit.

I thought Tuesday night was likely their best shot.
But there is something to be said for a good team with their back up against the wall, on the road, deck stacked against them. We'll see.

The reason I think that is because they’re down 2-0 and if they lose everyone knows the series is over. Plus, I think they’re still a pretty confident group even being down two games. Portland was very much in both of those games.
Quick question.. what’s the series rotation for the round of the playoffs. 2- 2- 1-1-1? Or 2-3-2

nylon calculus on playoff rondo:
quote:
'Playoff Rondo' is a familiar phenomenon. After a down regular season in Chicago, he had the Bulls up 2-0 on the No. 1 seed Boston Celtics in last year’s playoffs, before an injury robbed him of the opportunity to complete the upset. Rondo was instrumental in Boston’s 2008 title run. His playoff career averages for points and rebounds are both about 25 percent higher than his regular season averages; he’s had the most total assists in a postseason four separate times and is currently the leader this year as well.
Rondo is playing a lot more minutes than he did during the regular season but he’s also been more productive -- averaging about 2.1 more potential assists per 36 minutes than he did during the regular season. About 65 percent of his frontcourt touches in this series have resulted in a potential assists, up from about 54 percent during the regular season.

nylon calculus on playoff jrue:
quote:
While Rondo has been orchestrating the offense as primary initiator, Holiday has been relentless attacking off-the-dribble in his opportunities. As of Thursday morning, Holiday was averaging the third-most drives per game in the playoffs (18.5), significantly more than he did in the regular season (12.3), while maintaining one of the most-efficient drive scoring rates in the league.
quote:
Holiday has defended Lillard for 74 possessions across the first two games of the series. On those possessions, Lillard is averaging 11.5 fewer points per 100 possessions than his regular season average. The Trail Blazers, as a team, are averaging 18.5 fewer points per 100 possessions when Holiday is matched up on Lillard.
Holiday has had an incredible defensive season, but the degree to which he’s been able to stifle Lillard has been a surprise. He defended Lillard on 127 possessions during the regular season, the second-most of any player, and both Lillard and the Blazers scored at a rate above the season averages on those possessions.
