Or not:
"we find that ~7.97±0.6% of the genetic ancestry from the West African Yoruba population traces its origin to an unidentified, archaic population"

Obviously the factors that contribute to one's phenotype relate to common environmental and geographic characteristics so that categories aren't worthless but they are still a constructed categories.

They were Polish.
The Pollacks were Kangs when those African homos were scratchin' for ants on some hump of dirts.

Where does this leave affirmative action?
EDIT:
Also, just because I cannot give the exact degree where something moves from "cold" to "hot" doesn't mean we cannot classify ovens as hot and ice as cold.

Hahahaha. Expecting intellectual honesty or consistency from Marxists.

Denisovian DNA is the reason east Asians all look very similar, and distinct from other humans.
All non-Sub Saharan African populations have a percentage of Neanderthal DNA.
More discoveries are coming.

I don't have a problem with using heuristics to make the world efficient, but we still need to acknowledge their simple and subjective nature, prone to errors.

I dunno, how the MSM handled Zimmerman's race in the Trayvon Martin case seemed pretty damn complicated to me.

Lol, what a dumb thread. If your point is that there are genetic differences on average between people of different races, got news for ya. No one has ever denied that, and you can find plenty more examples of articles discussing those differences that make that point better than this one going back many years. Did you just happen on this link while googling something and think, "I'VE SOLVED IT!" :lol"
Thing is, there are genetic differences between any two people. We aren't all our own race. There are average genetic differences between any two groups of people. But we don't consider French people to be a different race than German. You can often tell that a person is Italian or eastern european or whatever based on the way they look even, and yet they are still the same race. The classification of blacks, asians, whites, etc as different races instead of just different ethnicities is a social designation. There isn't some big genetic difference that demands that they be classified as a different race for scientific reasons.

No, not really. I understand the difference between ethnicity and race, and can see why the distinction is important.
My dig at the MSM more dealt with their double standard that considers what narrative they want to push before choosing which of those two items to focus on.
To illustrate, if Zimmerman were an illegal crossing the border he wouldn't be considered "white" and any attempt to keep him out would be met with accusations of racism and bigotry. But because there was an opportunity to call white people racist with the Martin shooting they... well... You saw what happened... He's all of a sudden a "white" Hispanic and represents white racism against the black population.
