I don't care one way or the other. It was pretty rampant when I played high school baseball in the early 2000s.
What's funny to me is why baseball appears to be the only sport where this happens. It would be hilarious to see a dude running down the basketball court, make a 3, and then run by the opposing bench and spit a huge one right at the feet of the opposing head coach.

When I played high school ball, early 80s, one of the guys on the team had a brother that played at Miss. State and the dip companies would send sleeves to the college teams to dip and we would get them sent to us by his brother

When I played and I’m sure the same now we had pockets in our pants. Football and basketball don’t. Baseball slower paced and less running. I couldn’t imagine trying to dip playing football, basketball, or soccer.
