I’ll apologize to you this series, you can return the apology to me next series.

Jakes problem is not talent or ability... it’s consistency, and coming through in the clutch.

There are a couple other guys who had just as much ability and talent, and played a good bit for us last year but weren’t consistent... they are now playing JUCO...

Good don’t cut it with LSU baseball (or several other SEC programs now).. you gotta be special and reliable. Not saying Jake can’t do it— he HAS done it past few games. We need him to be that consistently.

I agree. Everyone wanna die happy Jake Slaughter did decent against Tenessee. ITS TENNESSEE!!! We scored 14 runs tonight and we have 32 hits in 2 games. Everyone watch next week or even this midweek game. Don't be expecting 3 home runs next weekend much less 3 home runs the rest of the year

Stop it! Just stop it, he has always hit bad pitching. I wouldn't beat my chest just yet!

No. Jake deserved a whole lot of second guessing. He still needs some consistency.

I am a fan and want him at 3rd. But come on, he was cold as ice

I have supported him from the get go. imo, he has a lot of potential. I really like him and Cabrera as future star material and see Reid, Hughes and Bain as back ups only. Hughes is actually coming around now that he's learned to bunt and I know Bain has good numbers.

i'm liking next years team already.

Look I’m in Jakes corner, I want him to be on top of the SEC’s leaders list as much as any LSU fan , but inconsistency is KILLING him !! Yeah he had a good series against Tennessee, but as others have eluded to Its Tennessee , not Florida, Ole Miss , Vanderbilt, Arkansas or Auburn for that matter!! We will find out as the year plays out weather this was a breakout series for him or if it was just Tennessee pitching being that bad !
