Tax receipts are up. Perhaps stop getting your news from thinkprogress. It appears you are more interested in confirmation bias than being a critical thinker.

Name a more beneficial group for the poor in world history than "greedy capitalists". And go...

The GOP and many on this board don't seem to care about deficits anymore, but bitching about tax cuts as the reason for rising debt is absurd.

For starters, whens the last time you saw any 10 year projection about government spending or government tax collections being accurate?

The joke is on the GOP voters. They keep electing people with conservative principals. They are only conservative with a Dem president.

Your problem is you thought the GOP was genuine about their concern for the debt.

The facts are legitimate as far as I can tell, but the conclusions drawn are not.

The tax cuts were good for all consumers (lowering the corporate rates) and the vast majority of income tax filers. The fact that a few wealthier than average people are in congress and will benefit from the bill is irrelevant when you consider the percentage they pay of total income tax receipts.

So an article just came out last week that the top 1% generated 80% of the wealth in this country. Well doesn’t it then make sense that they would get 80% of the benefits of a tax cut.

In the meantime, this article said that the middle 20%, would get a tax cut of more than $400. Well considering that group pays no federal taxes anyway, then they should be happy with those crumbs.

I love how the liberal mindset cannot rationalize statistics.

The article is about section 199A. The author is very confused. 199A offfers a 20 percent deduction for pass through entities. This deduction is limited and subject to several calculations. Certain professions are not eligible and there are limits based upon qualified business income and W-2 wages......you know what....this is pointless. You are already confused by what I'm writing. The article is complete BS and the author doesn't understand the Code.
