Wrong!

A) Shows you this oversampled Democrats
B) FREE Health care is their primary concern. Otherwise, they'd still be solid Republican.
If you don't think health care is the primary concern of 60+ year olds regardless of affiliation, you can't be helped.

I think this isn't so much about these voters swinging to the democrats, but more so about older white democrats being MORE LIKELY to vote in 2018.
Polls measure those who indicate they are voting in 2018. It could be that republican older white educated voters, upset with trump, are just not going to turn out. Doesn't mean they are switching to dems.
Look at 2010 and 2014. Groups didn't "SWING" to the GOP, dems just simply sat out.

Neither the IPSOS or Reuters link state if these were likely voters or registered voters.....just says "adults". AKA, the least informative polls taken, regardless of sample demographics.
I fully expect a 'blue wave' this November but if Dems win 65+ educated voters nationally, I'll eat my shoe.

, you're aware they still pay a shite ton in medical expenses, right?
Who do you think pays more, on average, for health care costs- 60+ year olds or people younger than 60?

My apologies, beer. I assumed something I shouldn't have.
Maybe response rates are skewed though?
Another note of caution is that "generic dem" is not the same as a specific dem. These older white voters may be fine voting for a "generic dem", but if a specific liberal dem is on the ballot, the story may be different.

All good.
Man, I don't even buy the "generic dem" if IPSOS/Reuters had polled likely voters. Dems just don't ever win with older white folks and, as much as I personally despise Trump and the current iteration of the GOP, I have ZERO faith that that voting trend will change any time soon...at least not until the Boomers essentially die out.
I appreciate your optimism for us but, yeah man, not happening

And? I can't believe we're arguing over whether or not health care costs are the biggest concern of 60+ year olds. I thought that was common knowledge.

Sure...
I believe it.
I believe it.

On the contrary, I have resolved to never vote for a Democrat again - for any office, anywhere!

I hate statistics and polls
How a person answers a question in a poll is not accurate poll unless it is a huge difference.
Just because Trump has 41% approval rating does not mean that people who don’t approve with his job approval will not vote for him.
It may hurt republicans overall, but things may change over the next 6 months.
This is not just going to hurt republicans, but all politicians.

They could probably have also found folks who voted democrat who are now leaning Republican, but I’m sure they didn’t look.
