For me there are three basic reasons. Physiological changes that are positive, delayed gratification, and I just seem to be better with females if I haven't come in at least a week or so.
I don't really know what it's like from the female POV. What kind of frequency/time spans are you talking about?

Yes. That's exactly what I'm talking about. And there are valid reasons why men often don't show emotion, even going back to the biological basis -- because they need to show strength. But the emotion is definitely there. In my experience, I'd say even more than in women (in terms of depth).

I am female but think much more like a male, so I am probably not the best woman to ask. I understand what you are saying about heightened senses, but I can tell you, some of my most prolific experiences have been sexual in nature, and I would never choose to deny myself that.
Going without doesn't bring me anything but intense frustration.

thousands of years of evolution of the male protecting, finding food and surviving has evolved us into seeing things in our world and prioritizing them in order of significance. Another reason why males are much much better with dealing with stress and stress overload than women.
