26 spots to #80 as of right now from #54 from the beginning of the week.

LINK

Any kind of "bad loss" just really kills us right now. Hard to remember our RPI being this bad this late into the season...but weve kind of earned it with 2 losses to Notre dame, 2 losses to ULL, a loss to hawaii, a loss to SELA and a loss to state. We certainly have an uphill battle ahead. Our rpi will go up as the series from here on out are against much better rpi teams, but we really need to avoid the bad losses. Cant continue to drop these mid week games and go 1-2 on the weekend against good teams and 2-1 against the not so good ones.

We need to go on of these patented Mainieri win streaks he's known for.

Eh, if you’ve watched LSU the last 6 years, You'll realize it’s still not impossible

Still too early to say this. I’m not expecting it to continue but this team has the potential to go on one of those streaks that we’ve seen numerous time. Even if we don’t earn a national seed, I wouldn’t want to face this team in the postseason once they get healthy and the pitching staff coming along like they have. Looking forward to the rest of the season.

Road series against A&M, Ole Miss, South Carolina, and Auburn. RPI will be there IF we win. Interested to see how we will look at full strength.

Pitching has looked pretty damn good lately. We get healthy and start hitting the ball we could finish strong like we always seem to do

I'd say for last year's team the turning point was the Alabama series sweep which was around the last week of April. We should (hopefully) be healthy by that point this season and maybe go on another run

Odds are we won't be a national seed. Too many loses to teams with losing records

Tigers are 5-4 in SEC play, not bad, and 2 of the 3 opponents so far will likely make an NCAA regional.

That's why I don't understand the Tiger's current abyssal RPI. Are Hawaii, SE La. and MSU really THAT bad?

Exactly. RPI doesn't matter right now. The magic number almost every year is 20 SEC wins. Do that, you're in good position to be a regional host if not a top 8 seed. 20 wins usually wins the conference unless one or two teams are just dominating. LSU needs to win 2/3 every weekend from here on out and get one sweep; they are only one game off of the 20 win pace. I had hoped for a sweep this weekend, but this team should continue to get better as the season goes on.

despite all the injuries and bad losses, lsu is still in the thick of things. we desperately need to get healthy for our upcoming series though.

Let’s be honest. LSU’s biggest problems are in the field. Feduccia. Bain at 2B. The Jordans. Getting Smith and Broussard back will help a lot. But catcher is a huge weakness right now.

This is Cannizaro's fault - Moo State fell of such a cliff because of his shenanigans and didn't count as a very good series win RPI-wise
