I totally agree. The seasons I did watch of The Wire were completely a cut above any t.v. drama series I'd watched previously, including Hill Street Blues, which I loved. Breaking Bad is my absolute favorite series of all time and consider it to be the GOAT, but once I finish watching the entire series of The Wire, I may have to rethink it.

BB was great, but pretty overrated for me. Whereas The Wire came with all the same hype, and it lived up to it for me. It's my #1 best show of all time.
BB is great, truly. But it's nowhere near the top for me personally.
