I completely agree with you on that point
So could you edit your post to where it’s not there? Sure it’s in the thread title for now, but I’m getting militant on this, and I think it’s justified. Fox Mulder who I regularly disagree with but like (I’d say we’re frenemies) agrees with this as well.

"I want solutions."
OK. As far as the government is concerned this is the solution:
#1.Force people to fend for themselves instead of propping them up and making it possible for them to be comfortable without making good choices.
This will mean that ladies will quit allowing just any jackwagon to impregnate them because they won't be able to sustain life with more mouths to feed.
This will mean that more children will be raised in a two parent home which will solve 90% of all of these issues.
#2. Strict enforcement of laws with no leniency. Prisoners labor for their sustenance and shelter.
But if you must know, the only real solution is people need Jesus.

I agree with you on that, that people need more Jesus.
However, in today's society, being a Christian is seen as "offensive".
I'm a Northeastern Christian and I am seen as "odd" in my neck of the woods.

I edited. I generally think semantic arguments like this are silly, but this is one area where there is merit in my opinion.

Awesome.
Lets all get on this board to not mention the killers. That’s where we’ll get along.

What are you thoughts on gun legislation? Do you see there being any legislative fix to the issue?

It’s already too out of control, so no I don’t.
But despite what the kids are preaching, they may have a significantly positive effect on shootings even when their proposed legislation never passes. If you put a face on the victims and not glorify the shooters, then I think it could detract from school shootings. So I don’t agree with these kids message, but let them roll with it to see if this narrative stops it. I’m open minded on it.

I'm in a very similar state of mind on this. I think that there is some real merit to allowing this movement to go forward. They will not accomplish anything relating to actual, meaningful legislation because they are generally wrong on their specific proposals.
But I think a positive side effect is that the type of behavior that tends to precede shooting up a school is going to be publicized now. Problem kids are going to be pointed out to authorities. I think that is a net positive regarding where we are on prevention of these crimes, even if there are instances of innocent kids being dragged to the principals office

Humans have killed other humans since the dawn of time. Just accept that there is evil in this world and try to limit the impact. That’s why taking guns away or limiting purchases of guns from good, law abiding people is a dumb idea

Make school bullying punishable by death
