Who am I missing and/or who turned out to be crap? I`m sure there are plenty Day 3 trade-ups that I can't remember.
Jonathan Sullivan comes to mind. What a terrible pick and we traded up to get him.

I guess I was specifically thinking of the Payton era and the administration's history of trade-up success and failures.
We know there were plenty of drafting mistakes in the other eras.
SP has also had some bad drafts, but if my memory serves me right, the players he's felt enough conviction to trade up for have almost all turned into productive Saints.
What I can't remember is if there was a player like say RB Antonio Pittman who may have been traded up for but eventually didn't even make the team.

Brees and Payton have done pretty well making offensive rookies contributors in season 1. I guess that’s the frustrating thing about the string of shitty drafts and 7-9 seasons. The team was ready to win if we could’ve built on the defense

We just need 1 starter and 1 rotational player at minimum in this next draft and it'll be perfectly fine. Ideally we can get 3 total contributors since the only real opening spots are: WR2/3, TE1/2, backup QB, backup OL, backup DL, backup DB.
We have 8 total picks, realistically it'll end somewhere around 5 total IMHO. Obviously getting like 8 starters would be perfect, but lets be realistic right?
Since 2015 we have this many contributors. So hopefully in 4 drafts we land 11 starters and 9 rotation guys, that's legit.
Starters (10):
- Andrus Peat (1st)
- Sheldon Rankins (1st)
- Marshon Lattimore (1st)
- Ryan Ramczyk (1st)
- Michael Thomas (2nd)
- Marcus Williams (2nd)
- Alvin Kamara (3rd - costed a 2nd)
- Tyeler Davison (5th)
- Will Lutz (UDFA)
- Ken Crawley (UDFA)
Rotational (7):
- Hau'oli Kikaha (2nd)
- Vonn Bell (2nd)
- PJ Williams (3rd)
- Alex Anzalone (3rd)
- Trey Hendrickson (3rd)
- David Onyemata (4th)
- Daniel Lasco (7th)
Misses (5):
- Stephone Anthony (1st)
- Garrett Grayson (3rd)
- Davis Tull (5th)
- Damian Swann (5th - He was ok before concussions, but ultimately a fail)
- Marcus Murphy (7th)
Unknown (1):
- AQ Muhammad (6th)
So in the last 3 years:
4/5 on 1st rounders (4 starters)
4/4 on 2nd rounders (2 starters, 2 rotational)
4/5 on 3rd rounders (1 starter, 3rotational)
1/1 on 4th rounders (1 rotational)
1/3 on 5th rounders (1 starter)
0/1 on 6th rounders (Its an unknown with Muhammad, I'll count as a fail)
1/2 on 7th rounders (1 rotational - special teamer)
+2 UDFAs (2 starters - 1 special teamer)
