We were with the Fire for years, he was with the top 04 team but he had to make a choice between baseball and club soccer and chose baseball.....I still follow and know a lot of the people with the Fire and Spartans...both very good clubs....we had a lot of fun traveling...but it just became to hard to do both sports because of the overlap during the spring and fall

Our 05 club kept the best (older) 06ers, really wish we had them.

When I was as at UGA, my buddy and I were getting high and we're bored so to amuse ourselves we decided to go to the park and get tossed for harassing an umpire. We stood behind the fence at home and Busted one dudes balls behind the plate and got a warning and kept on until it turned into a yelling match. Walked over to the dugout of one team and yelled "how can you even look these kids in the eye with this bush league BS....blah blah." The blank look on the kids faces was hilarious. Ump tossed us from the park and Ended up arguing with some parents walking away from the field. Being a little league game crasher is a fun way to spend a half hour or so.

I floated that idea but his mom has to schmooze with the Uptown folk. Went over like a lead balloon with her.

Your post reminds me of a dear uncle, now deceased, that coached his son's little league team. He had a REALLY good team one year and at the finals were wearing out the opponent.
A mother of one of the opposing players got on his case for"running up the score and embarrassing" her son's team. By the 3rd or 4th inning he was playing the kids that hadn't played as much as some of the other kids and THEY were scoring at will. It was all he could do to keep from running up the score and it wasn't working.
This woman was going crazy and started cussing Unk. He finally walked up to the fence and pointed at the woman's husband, saying, " I can't whip HER arse but, I'll damn sure whip YOURS if you don't shut her up."
He said it was hilarious seeing the guy trying to shut her up and her getting even madder at hubbie.
Crazy people are every where but baseball moms and dads can really get nuts.

Hard to say which team is the best as they all are the cream of the crop at each park in that age division.
My daughter is on the BRSC 06 Red team, and we've played several of the Fire teams this year, both in league and friendlies. Those were some tough arse games for our girls without a doubt.
In regards to the OP, a few weeks ago we were in Lafayette for the Hub City tournament. We were playing the local team, and one of our girls committed a foul. No card, nothing malicious, just a normal run of play foul that happens. The (apparent) mom of the kid that got fouled very loudly and clearly shouted to our player "You little bitch, I'm going to find you after the game" That caused quite the stir on the sidelines and after the game the ref made sure no parents from either team got close to the opposite players.

All of those parents would have been in the big leagues but their Junior High coach didn’t like them.

This makes me happy that my 7 year old son picked lacrosse here in TX instead of baseball.

Dixie Baseball>>>>>>>>>>>>Little League At least that's the way it was in NWLA when I was growing up.
Plenty of shitbird parents in Dixie baseball.
Assisted one year. Loved working with the kids, the parents were exasperating.

It’s no better. They are all the same.. good friend got popped by a parent on his own team for trying to keep him from running on the field after a hard check.. Competition brings out the worst in some people. They feel validated and in the flip, emasculated by the performance of their own.
Will say that baseball is hard because of the high failure rate when at the plate.. my son bats near .500 but god damn if some parents don’t look sideways when he lines or grounds out.. some truly desire failure of their childs own teammates and it’s disgusting. The kids are great and simply love playing baseball, if not for that, I’d pull his arse for the few bad Apple parents..
