Thank God, finally. What an insufferable douche canoe.
Just a few more changes I can start listening again.

Bellevia was kind of a jerk to callers. I won't miss him.

The reason behind Bellavia's departure hasn't been announced. WWL Radio parent company Entercom had no comments regarding details of the split.

Fun fact. The L in WWL stands for Loyola, which used to own the station. Nevertheless, they were happy to sell airtime to crazy late night radio preachers back on the day.

WWL is so omnipotent that they can reach over 35 states at night. That is insane how large of a swath of land they can cover. Impressive, to say the least.

He had to go, but it's a shame. He's a backwoods hick that started off as a fricken call-in reporter for the prep high school football show, and worked his way up all the way to having a drive time show and the sunday pre and post game show. I don't think he's worked anywhere else in media.
Too bad he just became a giant D-Bag over time.

Deke has been on thin ice with WWL management for some time. They'll put up with Hebert because he pulls in ratings and is actually popular but Deke had been pissing off callers and management for about the last year or so

It used to be unique. There was an overnight country music show for truck drivers. Now it's shitty syndicated Dave Ramsey, just like everywhere else.

The old country music show...what was the name, I remember it . What was it called? It used to give the road conditions on all of the interstates as well and you could ge some really good old country

He’s the OTHER guy who talks funny for a minute in between all the commercial breaks and traffic updates.

Chuck Wagon Gang. Good stuff. I remember driving back from some game late at night and him turning over to WWL. "King Edward Cigar time is 10:30."
Not sure of the rhyme or reason, but WWL's signal isn't as dominant across the south as it used to be. I still can pick it up here in Birmingham pretty well, but it is noticeably weaker in Tennessee and Georgia.

I used to catch it at night(WWL) in Midland/Odessa as far back as 7 years ago and all the time between Memphis and Nashville as far back as 4 years ago...nice and clear. If there was a late season late afternoon Saints game on a Sunday, you could usually catch the second half loud and clear in Memphis.
LSU night games came in remarkably clear.
