looking at the different styles, looking for opinions. My current burner seems to take a while to boil the water. Maybe looking at a jet/double jet burner or maybe a Bangor style. What kind do y'all like to use

If you dont mind the noise, the answer is the double jet burner from bayou classic

Solid build, only $59, and will boil 10 gallons of water(amount of water for one sack)in under 20 minutes

I have a 32 jet natural gas burner..... would recommend if you have the option to put natural gas outlet on your house.

What did you use for a stand? I bought one off of Amazon, but am having trouble finding a stand that fits it.

I borrowed my neighbors welding machine and modified a single jet burner that I got from Wal Mart, at the time you could buy one for $20. I did that to get somewhere to start I then purchased 2-3/4"x6" nipples and a 90 from the hardware store and welded it onto the single jet burner. I'll try to get some pics up. Takes about the same amount of time to boil water as a single jet.

I've built about 2 dozen jet burners and have come across a combination that works really well.

A 30 psi regulator fed into 1/2" pipe nipple. Drill a hole with a #56 drill bit (1.04mm) and center a 2" ID pipe or 2" square tube on the hole. This will produce about 100k BTU/hr per jet. I've boiled 50 quarts of water in a 100 qt pot from about 50F hose temp in 11 minutes with 2 jets.
