I don't understand why this would be uge news. If he didn't practice last year, we are basically relying on a dude that has played zero college football to be our #2 corner? Great roster management by coach O.

Basic common sense dictates that you have a scenario where Fulton plays and a scenario where Fulton doesn't play.

Certainly, you see the difference, don't you?

i don't think he'd be sticking around if prospects weren't promising to play this year for LSU

you just go out of your way to trash Orgeron. Fulton's situation has nothing to do with our HC. and it appears YOU are making it up when you say "we are basically relying on a dude that has played zero". who said we are RELYING on him. the answer is NOBODY in authority said that. just you and you aren't shite.

if he's good enough to earn the spot then he gets it; if not someone else will.

Zero depth means we have only two CBs who must start and maybe a third for nickle. No depth means no backups...at all.

1. Greedy Williams
2. K Vincent
3. J Kirkland
4. M Netherly
5. K Fulton
6. K Joseph

It seems six is more than 2 or 3, hence LSU does NOT have zero depth at CB, no matter how much you want it to be so.

Would 8 be better? Sure, but 6 will do if they play like their talent would suggest and we don't get hit with a wave of injuries.

But be negative. It's all you have.

When the program does better, the criticism will greatly decrease.

I hope they can prove me wrong this season.

What's the word on Kirklin? I remember him being an under the radar recruit but having freakish ability as noted by some. Has he really stood out or just thrust into the mix as the best of a young, small group?

Why? It wouldn’t be any different at another school. Regardless, keep working. My money is on that he balls whenever the time comes.

I’m not an Orgeron fan, but what were his alternatives? Recruiting freshman was his screwup, and that would not have circumvented your criticism.

Great news. The kid is a talent and we need him badly to straighten out his problems. As fans we should support these young men.

Penrod. I dont agree with most of his post. But the mismanagement of the roster part is accurate. How can DBU not land a top 300 corner? No matter what, thats inexcusable.

And no QB either. when that was the biggest reason he got the job in the first place.

LSU may be "ok" right now at QB, who really knows how good these guys will turn out to be. When Narcisse and Brennan leave, or one transfers or is injured, LSU most likely will look back and wish they had gotten a quality QB in this class.

But, anyone thinking Fulton practicing today is not good news is just wrong.

This is one of the dumbest posts I've read. Certainly, you understand hyperbole, right?

To be honest, if you wanted to be critical of him, you should have gone the other way. Not only is our depth very limited, but we need to find a starter and a Nickel out of that very limited depth. That's the story.
