I don't know. Why are you a fat, fuzzy piece of shite who looks less like a prominent American thinker and way more like a pudgy camel fricker who was rejected by the suicide bomb squad because he's too large to fit into the standard exploding flack jacket?

I see you're willing to have a civil discussion on the matter

When it was clear that it was down to Trump and Clinton I supported Trump

I think he's a clown but less dangerous than Hillary would have been

OK then. So you answered your whole damned thread.

You think he's a clown yet still voted for him........but you have a hard time figuring out why people who don't think of him as a clown might have also voted for/supported him?

That's just strange.

No

I have a difficult time understanding how people don't think he's a fricking clown

The climate change thread proved that many people are lacking self awareness in the conspiracies they believe

Actually, the only thing that thread proved is that YOU are the one lacking in self-awareness in terms of your logical thinking abilities (or your deficiencies thereof). The whole premise of the thread was built upon a fallacy.

Well that's just personal opinion. I'm hoping you have enough brain power to recognize that.

Not really

For most people their climate change denying is deeply rooted in conspiracy. They just aren't self aware enough to know it's a conspiracy. Or too embarrassed to admit it.

Oh look another powerman thread where he states conspiracy theories in the OP. We get it, you are so much smarter than everybody and you think people who believe in conspiracies are nuts.

No one cares...

But you will go on for pages trying to act above everyone else in your typical righteous indignation. I give you a few more days before you just call everyone count and ugly names. Everyone sees right through your warped spiel. Bring Rex back he is at least fun.

Uh, yeah. It was. It’s called “appeal to authority”.

But hey, believe what you want. I’m not gonna get into a beating-my-head-against-the-wall contest with you. Your head is much harder than mine, and frankly it’s just not worth my time.

You do realize that appeal to authority can have both positive and negative connotation right?

Appeal to authority is a good thing when it's applicable

When you appeal to an authority like Donald Trump on vaccines...not so much

The fallacy of which is powerman's obsession with conspiracy theories. There is never any real mature discussion with powerman; so everyone just tell him he is great and that you are a batshite conspiracist so he stfu already.

Given that you repeatedly admitted you know nothing about climate change, you have no tools in your personal tool kit with which to make that evaluation.

It's just shite you've pulled out of your arse because you can count.

Repeatedly doing so doesn't change that fact.

LOL.

Good Lord man. Not only do you know nothing about science, you don't appear to know the issue with an appeal to authority.

If you know what you’re talking about and can back it up, then it CAN have a positive connotation.

It becomes a logical fallacy when you throw out something like “well, 97% of scientists say X is true, so it must be true”. And the reason that it’s a fallacy is because there’s no definitive way of knowing the methodology of all 97% of those scientists, how they reached their conclusions, or what their motivations to reach them were. You heard an arbitrary number somewhere (admittedly, a large one) and just ran with it.

And THAT is why your argument is built upon a foundation of sand.
