Does 2011-12 Go Down as the Most Disappointing Season

In LSU football history?
I know we’ve had shitty losing seasons. But is going undefeated in regular season, winning the conference, and then getting shut out in the BCSNCG make that season the most disappointing?

That game certainly hurt the most.

Obviously. Why even bring it up? Why does this fanbase enjoy being miserable?

Yes, it was awful. I remember how excited everyone was when TM7 returned that punt for a TD in the SECCG. We were riding high and then came 1/9/12. I had an eerie feeling going into that game when I realized that over 50% of the fans there were Alabama fans. New Orleans did not do a good job of representing LSU. Way more crimson in that superdome than purple and gold.

2013
It was the year we had Mett, Jeremy Hill, Odell Beckham, and Jarvis Landry while still finding a way to lose 3 games
Worst LSU defense in a very long time
Edit: I don’t count 2011 because we already beat them and a broken system forced the Mulligan Bowl

Exactly. Of ALL the possible things LSU related to discuss. Why is it that THIS is still brought up? Let it go ffs.

The season was far from a disappointment.

Not even close
1/9 was awful, but if in your mind it completely negates the entire 2011 reg season and the SECCG, then I pity you.
Watching us steamroll every single opponent we faced that year was a helluva ride.

Jesus Christ, some of y’all get so damn butthurt. I was simply seeing if anyone could come up with a more disappointing season.
It’s late on a MF Tuesday. What the frick else do you want to talk about?

Sure. Great thread.
Why did you call it 2011-2012 like it's basketball. Say 2011 and everyone knows what you're talking about.

Do you even 1998 season bro?

I posted this right after the game and people denied it so hard here.
It was the most shameful thing I've ever seen in my life.

So In your opinion, winning every game up to the championship and then blowing isn’t as bad as losing multiple games in regular season?
Seriously just curious.

Because I felt like it
Why does something so trivial bother you so much?

I don't see how, the negas we're out in full force. Many believed Les would never win the west again let a lone win a national title. LSU actually exceeded a lot of fans expectations.
Yeah disappointed how it ended. But I don't think winning the sec is a disappointing season.

I was embarrassed as a NOLA native and LSU alum. Terrible showing by our fans for that game. Just terrible.
