SW Oklahoma is horrible. I've been there a time or two and its ugly, windy and depressing. As soon as you go west of I-35, the landscape is noticeably different.
The farm I keep in Oklahoma is in SE Oklahoma and it's at least reasonable. Close to Lake Texoma and easy to get to north Texas.

It is like a different world after driving 20 mins south into Texas. Well Vernon is pretty depressing but once past there it gets better.
You know SW OK is bad when Wichita Falls looks nice.
