Altus has the lowest BAH in the DoD for 2018
E-5 with dependents gets like $780
Ft Sill gets like $1100
Problem is the average house in Altus on the north side of town, which is actually safe. Rent is roughly $1400 a month. The other 3/4 in the hood about $500. Cost of living here is insane despite the avg income being so low.
