Got a speeding ticket a while back by a zesty new trooper. Just noticed that he wrote the number 167340 in ink right over my name on the registration. Anyone know what this means? Secret code to behead me if I’m stopped again? 1st ticket of any sort since 1989.

That's his way of telling the next cop that stops you that you're gay. By then Trump will have given him/her the ability to round you up for the camps.

If that happened to me I would get a replacement copy from tag office.

You were a dick to the cop so he tagged your registration. Next time you get pulled over, they’ll look up that badge number, call the cop and you’re in for a world of hurt.
Great job being a dick, you showed them.

call DMV, tell them you lost your registration, pay $5 fee or whatever it is to process and mail you a new copy.
as others noted it is a message to the next cop to let him know something that is best you not want them too, most likely to frick you over and not give you any breaks

Was he a motorcycle trooper? That could be your mudcheck number.

A "167 with a 340" is code for a perp that is down for both oral and anal to get out of a ticket.

While I've received my fair share of citations in my life, I've been able to get about half of them dismissed in court. And I credit that to being super cooperative with the LEO.
I have also been able to avoid citations all together and just get a "warning" on those rare occasions when the LEO was "breaking the law" as well.
Example of the most recent: got pulled over for a headlight out. And wouldn't you know it, the LEO had a headlight out as well. He did the usual and asked me if I knew why he had pulled me over. Didn't know bc I was unaware that one of the headlights went out bc the fog light on that side lit up the road. He took my license and registration and shined his light around the inside of my car. While he was back in his car I got out and walked around to look at the front of my car. Then noticed his light out as well. As he started walking back to me I asked him if the department replaced their lights or if he had to do it himself (as I pointed to the front of his car). He stopped looked, then looked at me and said, "I'm letting you off with a verbal warning this time but get that changed tomorrow".
