Yeah I wanted the bigger head it offers.
Visually it looks good to my eye and I like a heavier putter.
I get loopy with a lighter one on take away.

I’ve owned more Cameron’s than you I promise, but I’m poor because I don’t agree Scotty is the best putter maker ever?

Scotty is a great putter maker. The problem is he stopped making them 20 years ago.

But golf shoes and learning to hit wedges took my game to a completely different level.

I started focusing on my approach shots this year and when I finally got the hang of them, it dropped my score probably a good 10 shots a round at this point. I don't doubt that good wedges and knowing how to use them netted you some good results.

You have to find a putter style (shape, alignment aid, shaft style / face balance or how much toe hang) that fits both your stroke and your eye for optimal performance. Past that it's about fine tuning feel.

You can determine most of this by finding the length most comfortable to you. Then check the test where you drop a golf ball from your eye and see if it falls on or how much inside the putter.

Then check if your stroke is back and through or how much are you have.

You want a putter that is balanced as best suited to both your eyes and stroke.

Sometimes you have to trick your eyes or adjust your putting style to fit best into a putter. My eyes are well inside the ball with a putter at most comfortable length this is suggesting a strong arc putter. With a traditional grip I I don't have much Arch in my stroke so that suggests face balance. I switched to the claw grip because it encourages more face rotation in my stroke so that I can use a putter with heavy toe hang and fit both my eye and stroke.

S Cameron

I have a Pro Platinum from 2001 that I still use. Have tried many others but even the newest $500 Cameron’s can’t knock it out of the bag.

Ok I'm half retarded but I think this is a suggestion I'm looking for but I can't visualize what you're saying. Can you explain the eye drop test thing?

Hold a ball directly between your eyes with two fingers while you're in a putting stance. Once you are set and still, let the ball go. Where it lands is where you should play the ball in your stance. You want your eyes directly over or slightly inside the golf ball.

Whatever it is, add a Super Stroke grip. Flatso 2.0 here.

The more inside your eyes are the more rotation face rotation you'll have in your stroke. Meaning your eyes fit a putter with more toe hang. Over the ball directly equals face balance.
