Dude. Watch it. How can you tell me it’s not intentional. Even if you want to make the argument that Young’s foot brought him down, he catches himself and then decides to fall after that

Liked him for his defense and that corner three he was nails with. Never defended his dirty shite. Pretty simple dynamic.

When you cherry pick things to support and ignore, it is pretty simple!

He was a dirty player that you cheered for because he was a Spur. Just because you didn't defend the dirty shite doesn't mean that you didn't support it every time he took the floor wearing your team's colors. That's what I mean when I say you can't have it both ways.

Zaza was +29 last night. Let's focus on that, right?

Back in the day? It wasn't the fricking 80s

quote:

By your silly logic, no fan of any team can ever carp about a dirty player on another team,

Not at all.

It's just especially weird when Spurs fans speak out against a guy that did the exact same move that they were seemingly fine with for years - you know, as long as he was nailing the corner 3.

That is why if you are Houston or OKC come playoff time, and if the NBA hasnt addressed his shite, you sacrifice one of your own and take his arse out first.

You omitted my quote where I said "beyond the scope of the game"

There is no football move where you're allowed to dive helmet first into the base of the skull of a defenseless player after the whistle. Not even at Bama.

You know damn well he wouldn't have been flagged for that had he been wearing Crimson.

Never said ignore. That's your word. I said I never defended his dirty shite. Which means I acknowledge he did dirty shite.

How in the world is that cherry picking? You know it's not, you're just being obtuse again.

You're a fricking idiot. According to you i would have had to forsake my Spurs fandom which was well established before the advent of Bruce Bowen in order to have an opinion on the dirtiness of a non-Spurs player?

That's fricking stupid and you know it, man.

It'd be one thing if I was up in here saying Bowen undercutting people wasn't as bad as Zaza or something. That's never even been close to what I've said.

Damn you're slow today, Nawlins. I'm not saying that Bowen played in the 80s. I'm saying that according to those who tout the uber physicality of defense from that era, no team's fans cam say anything about dirty plays. But that's silly. Just as silly as you acting like because Bruce played on spurs championship teams over a decade ago means I can't call another player dirty. You know that's absurd.

don't doubt it. That's why the game in all sports has been cleaned up over the years with fine and suspension policies, and some of y'all call that "soft"

Yeah and tgats a whole 'nother thread about the dynamic between the game today and how it used to be

If the game were more physical today you'd have old school fans carping about how they didn't have to be rough to play goid defense

Nobody is saying you should have forsaken your Spurs fandom.

Nobody is saying Zaza isn't dirty for what he did to Kawhi.

It's just kind of funny watching the same group that was okay with it a decade ago become outraged now.

You may not feel that way, you may not have been one of them, but you certainly had no problem having him on your team playing lockdown D and nailing 3s.

It's just a little funny. That's all I'm saying.

I look at dirty and a-hole move when you're angry as different things.

Gronk was clearly mad and decided to hit someone. He lost his cool and took his frustration out on a guy. It was mean. He decided to be an irresponsible a-hole. But it's forgivable.

Zaza plays basketball like a dirty piece of shite who "slyly" attempts to take people out of basketball games in ways that can potentially end their careers.

IMO, there's a difference.

I'm not sure why this kind of became a Gronk vs. Zaza contest, but I think you are remiss in not pointing out that Gronk went for a guy's head and could have given him permanent brain damage or possibly broken his neck (and thus a very remote but conceivable chance of killing him). Even if angry that is beyond terrible to do to a defenseless man.

But the Zaza video was clearly messed up and that guy needs to get what is coming to him.

You implied that because I'm a Spurs fan and Bruce played for us, I can't comment on another player being dirty. That's ridiculous.

You specifically said that I supported Bowen by being a Spurs fan and was ok with his dirty shite because of it. That's a gross accusation and I am not gonna allow you to discount my opinion because of something like that.

Yeah, those were good things. I liked his good things. I didn't like his bad things. I don't see why that's an issue with you.

What? In no era what Bowen did was considered okay besides Pop and the Spurs. He was universally criticized by Fans & is considered one of the dirtiest players ever with his little cheap " ZaZa" special.
