Moving into a knew place, need a couch, want a keeper. Not some cheap ikea shite. What brands or stores do you recommend?

If you are in Virginia you should be able to find some quality sofas made in NC or VA very easily. It will not be cheap though.

Have friend that his family has been in the furniture business for yrs. I buy all my furniture from them. Recently purchased sofa & love seat. Mayo is the brand.

Bassett is a solid brand. Heavy duty and sturdy. Lane and Broyhill are decent. Ashley is low tier.

Forgot Mayo, I’d buy them over Bassett!

We recently bought a Palliser that we're very happy with. Owned a Natuzzi before that and it was nice as well. Had never heard of either brand before purchasing TBH.

I’ve heard of hooker and natuzzi, but that’s it

Still mostly what I buy. It lasts 10 years and I have a kid and a dog so I'm not willing to spend more right now

Flex steel is good brand and available nationwide. Haverty’s is a good middle of the road furniture store that is a step up from the cheap shite at Ashley or Rooms to Go. Believe it or not, Pottery Barn actually make decent furniture.

Rowe furniture is what you’re looking for.

It’s not Rooms To Go or IKEA but compared to the other brands and Hooker, it’s...meh.

To me it's like buying Target clothes for my 10 yr old. The shite won't fit in a year and it may be destroyed sooner so I go fairly cheap. It's not uncommon for me to have 4 9-10 yr olds on my couch on a Saturday afternoon.
