It’s my understanding that they only count against the 25 if they have never been on scholarship. Lsu got a grad transfer kicker. He counts against the 35 because he was never on scholarship at the previous school. It was a big topic of discussion around here because people were pissed and didn’t understand why. The reason given by recruiting beat writers was that he only counted because he had never been on scholarship prior to lsu.
I’m not saying that I’m write, it’s just the way I understand it

IMO a transfer should only become eligible when going to a higher division.

Why that exclusion? What’s the difference from that and a player who went to a Power 5 school out of HS, transferred to FCS, then grad transferred back to Power 5 for his SR year?
Either it will be all grad transfers eligible or none.

Agreed. I vote no transfers. Recruiting Mock Draft should include *recruited athletes*.

Grad transfers still abide by NCAA recruitment rules. They only get 5 official visit, count against your class size.

How about you start your own transfer mock draft.

I do think he ends up at receiver for the Buffs, but obviously things can change quickly depending on needs and/or development. His dad played for Colorado in the 80s and ultimately seems like that may have played a factor in his eventual decision. He was heavily projected to end up at UW, so curious on T-Dawg's thoughts there if he just opted for the home school over UW or more at work there in terms of space/priorities in this year's class for them.
UW made a push for him once it seemed like Julius Irvin was heading to ND. Stanley ended up sticking with Colorado after visiting UW. I think UW would have taken his commitment, but I'm not 100% positive on that. UW did end up with Irvin, but not until the later signing period.
I believe he will be playing WR at Colorado, but UW wanted him at DB. That also could have played a factor in his decision. He should see the field pretty early there and he's the highest rated guy in their class, so I think he's a good pickup this late. I was debating about taking him with one of my last 2 picks.
