Just so everyone understands, Laura said "shut up and dribble" because it was a play on words based on a book she wrote on the entertainment industry named "Shut Up and Sing" 15 years ago.

I don't think Laura'a comments were intentionally racist, but there is a history in this country of white people telling blacks to know their place in society and not speak up. The word "uppity" comes to mind.
But Laura has a history of saying similar to those she disagrees with politically, so the racist angle doesn't hold much water. She'd have some credibility if she'd say the same to Ted Nugent, Chuck Norris, or any of the other celebrities Fox News has no problem bringing on to espouse their political views.
