Why would that be nice? You're all over the place, dude.

Not likely. I'm 100% P&T.

If you want to be nice, admit you were wrong in almost every post you made in here.

I'm not wrong. And I have no idea what P and T is but I hope it is something that can be taken care of.

Have a good one.

I'm suggesting that you, a gun owner, are locked and loaded ready to kill an intruder. You've gone over it in your head. If you pull the gun, you have to be ready to kill. You're ready for it, right? You're ready to kill??

You are a prepared killer

Yes, I'm prepared to kill someone that threatens the lives of my family. How is that wrong?

So, is that the way you will live your life? Under the constant notion that you are under threat every time you leave your home (and even while you are in it?).

Keep in mind America has thousands of these shops. It's not like this happens every day in every store.

Personally I blame prosecutors for too often letting gun crimes "slide" and not prosecuting them. If everyone who didn't have the right to a gun and yet had one was arrested and prosecuted then a lot of this stuff would go away.

About what? I didn't say you were wrong about everything. You know, just trying to be nice and all.

That's OK. It's not a condition, though.

Police do not protect you. You protect you and your family.

If you live in some rich mans utopia in which you don't have to be around the little people, that's fine.

Well you can print a copy of your study off, roll it up, and use it to fend off a criminal who breaks into your home in the middle of the night while he terrorizes and/or brutalizes your dumb arse or God forbid your family who might be relying on you to use even the slightest amount of common sense to protect them from intruders or predators.

Here's the thing. The people involved with causing gun violence largely come from uneducated backgrounds. And, yes, many are mentally unstable.

True.

So knowing this, why would any intelligent and rational person not want to have equal or superior firepower to counteract this to protect themselves and their family?

So...there surely is a mental health epidemic in our country, and there's an even bigger issue with them getting their hands on weapons so easily. Gun reform is needed.
I agree about the mental health aspect of this and in no way want mentally ill people to have access to firearms.

The problem lies herein. Who is going to decide what "mental illnesses" should be banned from gun ownership and what mental illnesses will disqualify someone? ADHD? Depression? Bipolar?

The problem most 2nd Amendment advocates have is that many anti-gun health professionals and judges will broaden the scope of those deemed "unfit" to own a gun to pretty much anyone.

Police do protect you, what the hell are you talking about?

Now you have to be wary about answering questions if you are a suspect. Surely you have seen the youtube video about never talking to cops.

LINK

But in general, cops, at least where I live on Long Island are chips off the old block. Heck one lives down the block and is the greatest guy.
