When and where did I say that? I said may the best guy win.
Nonetheless, I do believe that he has a higher ceiling though than Brennon does and I still do believe that for obvious reasons.

Ok.. WHY???
The dude has not even stepped on the field in live action... There is no telling what he may be like.. AND I don't like his knee issues.........

W T F. Brennan is an absolutely stud and was rated thru the roof on potential. How is LN given a higher ceiling. Just talking shite is all you're doing

Agree on jr.
He was injured and missed the shellacing LSU administered to Miami in bowl.

Narcisse was ranked even higher before he got hurt. Kid has a ton of talent

Bc Narcisse is bigger, faster, stronger, and has a stronger arm? As far as decision making, poise, leadership etc., we don’t know Bc we haven’t seen either enough to know but Narcisse has a higher ceiling if their intangibles are the same.

because Narcisse can run.
So if he reaches his full potentual he would be a legit dual threat which is huge.
If Brennan reaches his full potential he is an elite passer but not a huge threat to run.
Of course his is if. Org players reach their full potential. The issue with a lot of dual threat QBs is whether they can develop from athletes with strong arms to QBs with strong legs.

In my opinion, Narcisse has a higher ceiling than Brennan because of his size, his athletic ability, his strength, his speed, his maturity, and his cannon for an arm, combined with his accuracy.

When Narcisse was first being recruited, HE was the gem that everyone wanted. He was the higher-rated of the two. Then he got injured, and his lack of play made him drop, and suddenly everyone jumped on the Brennan bandwagon. Lowell was a Miles/Cameron guy, and considered other schools when they were canned, but Orgeron assured him that the best man would win the job, despite the face that he's intent on running a pro-style offense. Guess we'll see.
My prediction is that Brennan will be named starter -- it seems obvious to me that he's the best fit for the offense that Orgeron wants to run. Then we'll play one of the big dogs and Brennan's one-dimensional abilities will be exposed. Narcisse will be brought in off the bench and show off his skills, and that'll be that.

Really, they are not supposedly running a pro style type of offense, but rather an RPO or some type of passing spread according to Ensminger. Orgeron has green lighted him to do has he feels, and that I will have to see. (If he won't interfere at all because we all know what happened with Canada). But Ensminger is supposed to really open up the offense this season to use the abundance of talent that they have at WR, using the pass this season for the first time to set up the run.
Ensminger will tailor the offense, so he says to fit each QB's particular strengths or abilities, and if that is really the case then everyone should be on equal footing. Narcisse has the higher ceiling of course because of his great talent, if fully healthy the kid can ball, cannon arm that he can throw with touch, physical specimen that is a legit threat running the ball, and I think he is or can be really good with his decision making, so it's obvious he should be in a RPO offense. Myles Brennan of course has really good arm talent, but to me was more of a system type of QB with the quick, fast paced style spread offense that he ran in HS in Mississippi. But he has the smarts to adapt to another system, whatever system Ensminger plans on using him in, we'll have to wait and see. But I'm sure it will be another fast paced, no huddle spread passing attack designed to get the ball out of his hands quickly because he has limited mobility.
but I think LSU has real QB's now for the first time in a long time. Each with different skill sets that can be really good and productive offensively. In all of that McMillan is supposed to be given an equal opportunity also, good luck with that.

Even if O does want to run a straight up old school pro style, which I don't believe that he does (or he wouldn't have made Ensminger the OC, he would have had to call back Cameron as he is probably the only OC in the country who still does try to run that the traditional pro style offense). Even a pro style offense benefits from having a QB is big strong and mobile.
I just have to feel that Narcisse has more upside in that he does offer that component that Brennan doesn't. Not saying he beats out Brennan though. May he best QB win the competition and the other get plenty of PT as well.

Thanks for the update, Mr. Narcisse.

This Thread is absurd
The dude might be great and he might not be. But there isn't a damn soul who knows right now. For crying out loud anything you think you know you are basing on video from a High School junior.
By that standard Russell Shepard is Tom Brady

Exactly. This clown Tubucoco thinks otherwise

Yeah. Paradigm is a teacher at St James (or at least he used to be). That's where this thread is coming from. I hope narcisse turns into something great, but he's a big unknown until we actually see him in game action.

’I fully expect our QB situation to be a complete shite show next year like it has been for years’
Even though you have 0 reason to believe this
Actually, there is much more evidence to believe it than to disregard it.
-LSU past QB performance over last 10 years (Mett as an outlier)
-“new” Off Coord and another new system to learn
-Soph QB with little game experience
-RSFR QB who hasn’t played in a few years
-potentially meddling HC who has publicly waffled back and forth on the type of QB/offensive system he wants to run
And you have “potential” on one and “measurables” on the other. What else as your reasoning??? Oh I forgot... “hope and pray”
