When did you get red pilled and what was the catalyst?

It’s wrong anyway. As the ranks go up the more conservative it gets.
To answer the op... three. One was a female from south central that thought she was a dude, a gay dude from Maine, and a seeming normal white guy from NOVA but he cried all the time.

Late 2015/early 2016 was the start, and the Dem primaries of 2016 was the final straw of watching the DNC undermine the voters to make Hillary the candidate. Really grew tired of being painted as a privileged person because I'm a "cisgender," white, Christian, heterosexual male. Plus once I got past Trump speaking his mind, I've come to like and agree with the nationalist agenda, with all the other stuff just being locker room talk. I was still a Democrat until last year, now an Independent. I like Trump a lot, but still not sold the on the GOP as a whole thanks to people like McCain, McConnell, Ryan, etc. That's the tl;dr version.

I’ve known quite a few military folk who were liberal. The exceptions are the hardcover conservatives. I know a couple of those, who were marines, but most are middle road to liberal.

Thanks. Just curious. And not TLDR.

I’ve been curious on why people change when so many are entrenched. I’ll admit, I’ve been a Republican since I was old enough to understand and have also realized the hypocrisy of some GOP, especially the RINOs you named. Then there’s the established crap. One of the reasons I want the swamp drained.

Jesus.

There are a lot of people there that are like he says, but lumping everyone into that is ridiculous.

And even for the ones that it is true, they are making a productive and better life because of their decision to join.

Demographically speaking, the active service are approx 40% minorities. Demographically, that's a bunch of "liberals".

Military minorities undoubtedly make up a larger portion of republican followers than traditional monitored.

The unity of the military and lack of emphasis on color may help with that

I'm a conservative who very much dislikes Trump, very much disliked Hillary, and who did a four year stint as an infantry officer. I think Trump has a bad tendency to cloak himself in military shite (like the ridiculous idea of a parade) to cover for shortcomings and incompetency elsewhere.

I'd estimate about 20% or so of the military is liberal, at least from what I saw. Ground combat branches definitely lean more conservative than the other parts of the service. It's a big arse organization with representation of all parts and classes of the country.

Definitely disagree with that. Maybe about one in four or one in five. I don't think you'd find too many hardcare Trump supporters in the officer corps, but progressive they are not.

Most that have been in more than about 5 years are just cynical overall regarding our elected leadership. Often we vote for the less shitty candidate or the one who is going to benefit us the most.

Several. There are many liberals in the military. You have to realize that the military is made up of people from the entire country with different backgrounds.

I will forever know him as the guy who slipped up and posted a picture of 12 year old talking about how he likes emo pixie girls, and just assumed everyone else would find that comepletrly normal
