Some stuff from them can be a little more mature though, just in terms of kind of complex plot. I think I would want to wait till a little older for Princess Mononoke and definitely for something like Grave of the Fireflies.

My kids 5 and 2.5 like a lot of the older ones more than some of the more universally acclaimed ones.

Robin Hood
101 Dalmatians
Jungle book
Moana
Frozen
Lion king

Probably their favorites to this point.

They aren’t massive fans of Beaty and the beast , little mermaid, alladin yet.

I will eventually get all of those on your list (I would have 101 Dalmations now if I could have found it today).

shite how did I forget Lion King?

Funny story about that one. While I was in Iraq for the first few months as the war started we had zero time to relax, after a few months we finally settled in an old Saddam palace in Mosul and had electricity. I asked my wife at the time to send me some dvd's and while she was getting the box ready my Son who was like 3 at the time walked up and handed her his copy of the Lion King to send to Daddy. I received the box and started laughing, my guys asked what was so funny and I showed them. Next thing you know we're watching Lion King. The room had about 5-6 ppl in it at first but grew as the word passed. I look around and the room is packed full of guys holding M-4s wearing body armor watching the damn Lion King. Our LT walks by and he stuck his head in the room to see what was going on and he yells "I got a bunch of grown arse men watchin.. Oh shite the Lion King... he took a seat and finished it with us.

101 Dalmations is still on Disney Movie Club with a lot of these titles.

Disneymovieclub

They have a promotion where you can get 5 movies for a dollar a piece with free shipping on your initial offer. You then have 2 years to buy 5 additional movies at regular price. If you are building a library from scratch and plan on buying multiple titles to establish a library it is not a bad deal.

Will I need to wait til he is older to watch that one?

Lol maybe. I was scared shitless of the opening ‘This is Halloween’ song until I was like 10

It is my favorite Disney movie of all-time now though.

Disney movie club is awesome. You just have to be careful and remember to decline or you’ll end up with the little mermaid 3 for 29 dollars

I got another one

We were flying into Iraq, needless to say its a long arse flight. They fly you into a stop in Germany then hop you into Kuwait from there. Well, into the flight theyre showing movies, some guys are watching, some are sleeping and others have their cd players or magazines to pass time. Well, the plane puts on Finding Nemo, this is when it first came out so noone knew what it was. Ppl were saying I cant believe we have a plane full of grown men going to war and theyre playing a damn Disney cartoon. I had my headphones on watching the movie and I was getting into it as were some of the other guys, we dont get to finish the movie as we land in Germany and they let us walk around and stretch our legs ect. We get back on the plane and wouldnt you know all hell almost broke loose as they started a different movie.
Guys were pissed, we were like, what the hell happened? Did the dad find Nemo? wtf? Nearly a damn mutiny over not letting us finish the cartoon noone wanted to see when it first came on.

Crazy stuff. Just goes to show we never really grow up, no matter the circumstances going on around us.
