My kitchen tile has got to go. I can lay new tile myself but I'm not going to attempt removing the existing tile. I'd rather pay someone to do that and while they're at it, I may as well pay them to install new tile as well.

The kitchen is approximately 325 square feet. How much would I be looking at in Ascension Parish?

I mean you know the answer.

NO. IT'S NOT 3.50

I've seen better prices in the quad.

I was honestly expecting tree fiddy. The quad caught me off guard, but it shouldn't have.

Approximately 325 square feet in Ascension Parish is the same as in EBR or Orleans.

So you'll be looking at approximately 325 square feet.

I pay subs 3.0 to take it up and 4.50 to put it down. Straight lay, no walls...commercial.

Depends on what tile you put back but if it’s nothing too fancy I’d expect $8-10/sqft

Is that just labor? Should be closer to 1.50

I pay 3.50/ft to install and probably 1.50 to remove... depending on the susbtrate.

Anyone saying 1.50/ft to remove and install has never actually had it done. Think about that... 350 dollars for at least two days worth of work and two guys working....

Why not just lay it on top of what is there?

325sf x $1.5 = $487.5. One person can do this in a day.

I don't think that's how this works.

really depends on how easily that old tile and mortar comes up and what you are putting down. some tile is more forgiving
